DJ Ross Lougee
DJ Ross Lougee may be young, but he has been performing at UVM, in and around Burlington, and all over New England for the last several years. He has finally made Burlington his home and is planning a take over of the party scene in Burlington. During his time at UVM, DJ Ross learned the secrets to hype college crowds up, something that many older performers have forgotten how to do. He has also started to perform with several rappers and bands to get a grip on the downtown scene and is currently a resident DJ at Rasputin’s Bar. Don’t worry its not all play for the DJ; Weddings, private functions, and DJing for schools has kept his music versatile and sharpened his ability to mix any kind of music.
Unlike most artists in VT, Chyse chose to stand out with his West Coast style, music, and fashion. Mixing East Coast swag with West Coast swag gives Chyse the best of both worlds. His father (Stinal Love Atkins) once signed to Warner Brother Records in 1982 and has a talent that has been passed down to his children through blood. He is also still doing music in LA working with known artists doing gospel music. Chyse soon will be able to join his father along with his sisters and brothers to the top with Shadowspear Music Group, and never forgetting his roots and original crew Cooltable Gang, he will bring them along for the ride so sayeth S.S.M.G
2% is the musical stylings of Brian Devane, Eric Smith, Harrison Kent, and Ryan Darling, 4 dedicated UVM students with a vision. That vision consists of providing the local music faithful with a heavy dose of that 2% milk. 2% cannot be constrained to one single genre besides “jamz” (not necessarily to be mistaken for “jam,” although we also jam). 2% often employs the use of the three part harmony, and combined with Eric “Bootsy Collins” Smith’s silky smooth finger slappin’ goodness on bass, a combination of sounds is created which cannot be ignored. 2% has been taking the UVM campus by storm since it was formed in February 2016.
